June 2 | 6:30pm | Wavertree | Free
Kick off LGBTQ+ Pride Month with The Ranzo Boys and the Seaport Museum! In this musical program, Lafayette Matthews and Jules Peiperl will explore queer narratives in maritime music. Through a mix of traditional and contemporary chanteys and ballads the speakers will sing engaging songs and share stories that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and its underrepresented connections to New York City’s waterfront.
Advanced registration is suggested but walk-ups will be accommodated as possible. A complimentary beverage is included.

About the Speakers
The Ranzo Boys, Lafayette Matthews (he/him) and Jules Peiperl (they/them), have been singing together since 2013. They are dedicated to honoring the tradition of the songs they sing while making the folk community a more inclusive and welcoming space for all people. Their repertoire includes buzzy English harmonies, Appalachian ballads, sea chanteys, and any trad song that can be remotely construed as queer.
